Earl R. 'Pushbutton' Wilson

WARDELL,
Va. - Earl R. 'Pushbutton' Wilson, 66, of the College Ridge Mobile Estates of Wardell, passed away July 2, 2004 at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born in
Buchanan County, Va., and was the son of the late Roscoe and Ellen Clark Wilson, both Buchanan County natives.

He had made his home in the
Tazewell County area for the past 36 years and was a retired miner from Jewell Smokeless Coal Corporation at Vansant, Va. He was a former captain and paramedic for the Richlands Rescue Squad and was a graduate of Garden Creek High School Class of 1956. He was of the Holiness faith and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors are: His wife: Uva Lowe Wilson; one daughter: Tina Wilson Beavers and husband, Donnie of Wardell; one son: Robert R. Wilson and wife, Tamra of Pounding Mill, Va.; three sisters: Katherine Arrington of Bristol, Va., Pauline Jackson of Rowe, Va., Susie Hill of Craig County, Va.; three brothers: Paul Wilson of Walkertown, N.C., Rev. Frank Wilson of Mississippi, Rev. Jerry Wilson of Garden Creek, Va.

Three grandchildren: Cullen Compton, Danyelle Wilson, and Raylee Wilson; two step grandchildren: Kelle Beavers and Brent Beavers; special aunt and uncle: Opal and Robert Hagy; special caregiver: Paula Slate also survive.
