Cero Baker

Cero Baker, 72, of Oakwood, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in a Richlands hospital.

Born November 18, 1935 in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dentis Burke Baker. He was a member of the Little Martha Old Regular Baptist Church at Leemaster and a member of the UMWA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Frankie B. Shook.  
He is survived by his wife, June Street Baker; two sons, James Cero Baker of Rosedale and David Wayne Baker of North Tazewell; one daughter, Melissa June Mitchell of Cedar Bluff; four grandchildren, Jama Baker Fleming, Joshua Baker, Amber Baker and Marcus Mitchell; five step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today (Thursday), December 13 at
11 a.m. at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel at Keen Mountain with Elders Roger Coleman and Russell Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill.

Pallbearers will be Bill Owens, Ralph Coleman, Jerry Vandyke, Gordon Hale, Joshua Baker and Marcus Mitchell.

Buchanan Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
